By the waaaay

I want to say, since I haven't written in a while and I just feel the need to address something - I know I am very open in my posts about myself, how I feel about things, and some of the crazy shit I continue to do well into my late twenties. As I venture into the world of writing for the public, I want to practice being honest and frank in the topics I focus on.

I imagine that, here, accomplishing that won't be quite as much a challenge as, say, writing about race/gender/class politics like I hope to do one day, since it's clear up front that everything you see is from my perspective and had a twist of Chaya-ness. Still, even when it comes to personal matters, in fact, especially when it comes to personal matters, finding the "truth" really ain't so easy.

And, on that note, to the other young people in my position, ahem, amidst the quarter-life crisis (which, by the way, I consider myself to somewhat in control finally!), maybe think a little about truth yourselves. Discovering it within makes navigating all this bullshit so much less overwhelming.
